Several chapters cover the early history of the Indian Navy, particularly in the Victorian era, then the bulk of the book covers their operations and rapid expansion in WW 2, with operations mainly directed against the Japanese in Burma and the Indian Ocean. Much on light coastal force operations along the Arakan coast.
